POSITIONING FOR EXPERIENCED CRE BROKERS

Institutional credibility without giving up your entrepreneurial model

Large firms such as CBRE, JLL, Colliers and Marcus & Millichap bring established institutional brands and specialist networks. eXp Commercial offers a different operating model: a national brokerage identity, published capped company-dollar economics, commercial data access and room to build an individual or team brand.

NATIONAL

Established national firm

eXp Commercial operates in all 50 states and publishes investment-sales and property-type services. That is meaningful national coverage, not automatic authority to practice without each state license.

PROFESSIONAL

Industry presence and recognition

The company maintains an Experts Directory, Commercial training, industry events, eXpCOMMCON and 2025-updated group structures and co-sponsor programs.

OPERATIONS

Executive and transaction infrastructure

Access broker review, SkySlope, managed transaction processes, advisor onboarding, virtual collaboration and named company growth resources.

Company-documented brand, group and event developments: 2025 Commercial platform review. Public firm comparisons should distinguish institutional reputation from each individual broker’s privately negotiated compensation.

COMMERCIAL DUE DILIGENCE

Commercial advisor questions—answered with substance

What happens to my client and property relationships?

You remain responsible for your client relationships and individual business development, subject to transition terms, agreements, licensing and required brokerage disclosures. We can map current listings and contracts before any move.

Does eXp supply CoStar, and what about LoopNet and Crexi?

The current Commercial join page explicitly lists CoStar in the $500 monthly package. Company materials describe LoopNet listing discounts. Crexi is an external marketplace, not a guaranteed included paid subscription. Exact CoStar product scope and syndication should be confirmed.

Can I operate across state lines?

The brokerage is present in all 50 states, but your own licenses, local jurisdiction rules, interstate cooperation policies, and Board/MLS requirements still govern activities and transactions.

Can I bring a team or join a specialty group?

eXp publishes team and group structures and services across major commercial specialties. Eligibility, half-cap structures and internal team arrangements must be evaluated with Commercial Growth.

How quickly will I receive commissions?

Company guidance sets a conditional settlement target within 48 hours after escrow close when documents are complete and broker-approved. Deposit timing depends on funds received and the payment rail; it is not guaranteed to be next day.

Does Commercial have health insurance, stock and revenue share?

Stock and revenue-share opportunities are described in company materials, subject to eligibility and plan terms. Healthcare-related resources exist, but no specific insurance coverage, premiums or family eligibility should be promised until independently verified.

Move on your terms. Discuss your firm, product type and economics.

A confidential conversation can evaluate your transition without requesting client data or initiating any brokerage application.
