The strongest brokerage decision starts with the right questions.

Compare your current platform against the actual tools, compensation, support, and autonomy you would receive. No unverified claims about competing firms.

Coming from a major brokerage? Make it apples-to-apples.

Agents from Compass, Coldwell Banker, Keller Williams, RE/MAX and other residential firms—or CBRE, JLL, Colliers, Marcus & Millichap and other commercial firms—have different local agreements and team arrangements. We do not publish unsupported company-by-company fee or capability claims.

Instead, share only the high-level information you want to compare. We can review your actual situation in confidence without collecting your clients or confidential contractual documents through this form.

DECISION FRAMEWORK

The six numbers that determine whether moving really works

Your commission split alone is insufficient. A rational comparison is an annual net operating-cost and business-development analysis.

ECONOMICS

1. Annual production and effective split

Gross commission income, company dollar and applicable annual cap—then compare actual realized retained commission.

OVERHEAD

2. Overhead and platform fees

Monthly charges, technology subscriptions, office/desk fees, franchise/royalty costs and transaction charges.

TOOLS

3. Research and marketing costs

CoStar, marketing/design platforms, CRM, websites, lead services and business-development tools. Count only tools you actually use.

PIPELINE

4. Source of prospects and referrals

Are incoming leads supplied, self-generated or purchased? What are their quality, conversion rates and cost?

OPERATIONS

5. Team, support and transaction cost

Administrative staffing, mentor splits, business processing, compliance and the speed/quality of support.

UPSIDE

6. Long-term optional upside

Stock programs, revenue/profit share, business autonomy, succession and long-term organization development—under plan rules.

QUESTIONS WE ADDRESS DIRECTLY

Compare economics without disclosing sensitive documents

Does eXp have a better split than my current brokerage?

It depends. eXp publishes 80/20 with $16,000 Realty and $20,000 Commercial annual caps; the relevant comparison is your current negotiated arrangement, production, overhead and support. Some competing agents have favorable contracts; we should examine your actual net economics.

Are eXp technology benefits genuinely included?

Commercial lists CoStar, Buildout, SkySlope, Canva Enterprise and AIR CRE in its $500 monthly package; Realty includes qualifying CRM of Choice options in its monthly tech offering. Subscription scope, CRM term commitments and third-party add-ons vary.

Can I maintain institutional credibility at eXp Commercial?

eXp Commercial is a national brokerage with property-specific expertise, an Experts Directory and recognized third-party CRE tools. Your track record, local transactions and specialized marketing remain critical to winning sophisticated assignments.

Is the application tied to my inquiry?

No. Submitting a private comparison request creates an inquiry here only. Corporate applications are a separate process; the prospective agent selects their sponsor under the company’s rules.
